Boss yixian suggested i publish my testimonies on the net blog so i'll will haha... so honoured rite! i type them here instead of my own blog haha!
1. My buddy next to me got his rifle stunned (or stolen by the sergents) twice and almost tio a 3rd time when a sergent tried to backstab him thru the forest during field camp. the punishment for a single stun is usually one confinement so i really wanna thank god that somehow i never kenna aim. =D
2. I really wanna thank God for excellent commanders during BMT. the other 3 platoon commanders sometimes can have unreleastic demands or issue harsh punishments. our sir and sergents were always far in giving out punishments and almost never ever used their rank in a condescending or abusive way.
3. Most importantly, i wanna thank God for insulating but not isolating me. I had bunkmates that were as secular as secular can be. the topics they talked about is like R21 and their language more colourful than the spectrum of the rainbow. wanna thank god for helping me stand my ground and not compromising on my values. my nickname was "holy sh**". holy is holy and sh** was to make sure they dun feel unfortable if they dun swear haha... jkjk...
4. also wanna thank god for being with me as i did stuff i never knew i'd do before... like a 24km march with full battle order or an unprecedented 51 sit ups during IPPT retest... gosh i never tot i could do such things! but the thing that i was most fearful of was a one story high ramp in the SOC (Standard Obstacle Course). God gave me the courage to clear it, abeit on the 2nd try. =D
5. lastly, thank god for good frens who encouraged me and helped me out when i was as blur and lost going into BMT. My cousin who is a sergeant took care of me by passing me stuff i needed urgently as well as ppl like henry and xian who i could complain to and sulk haha...
yups that's all i can think of for now, and both my hands' bones hurt from so much typing... boy its been sometime since i typed so much
